The 2009-2010 NBA season is afoot and it’s time predict the award winners. Below, is a list of awards, the projected candidates, and the projected winners:
MVP:

Kobe will the MVP Award.
Candidates – Kevin Garnett, LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Kobe Bryant, Carmelo Anthony, Dwight Howard
Winner – Kobe Bryant wins his second MVP award. The MVP Award should go to the best player on the best team. I predict that the Lakers will be the best team and thus Kobe gets the award.
Rookie Of The Year:

Jennings gets the Rookie Of The Year Award.
Candidates – Blake Griffin (if he can could back strong from injury), Jonny Flynn, Brandon Jennings, Tyreke Evans, Stephen Curry
Winner – Brandon Jennings wins here because this rookie point guard has adapted to the NBA game better than the other rookies. That year playing pro overseas definitely helped.
Defensive Player Of The Year:

When it comes to defense, KG is the man.
Candidates – Kevin Garnett, LeBron James, Dwight Howard, Tim Duncan, Ben Wallace, Dwyane Wade, Kobe Bryant, Greg Oden, Joel Przybilla
Winner – Kevin Garnett wins for putting the Celtics back at the top of all team defensive categories. He is the heart and soul of the Celtics championship defense.
Sixth Man Of The Year:

Ben will shoot his way to the top.
Candidates - Mano Ginobili, Jamal Crawford, Ben Gordon, Paul Millsap, Allen Iverson (If he really comes off the bench)
Winner – Ben Gordon will win this award. He will lead his team (Detroit Pistons) in scoring and he will win games with clutch shooting.
Most Improved Player Of The Year:

Andrea Bargnani will improve across the board
Candidates – Channing Frye, Danilo Gallinari, Chris Douglas-Roberts, Yi Jianlian, Andrea Bargnani.
Winner – Andrea Bargnani wins this award. He will improve across the board, especially his scoring average and shooting percentages.
Come Back Player Of The Year:

KG wins another one.
Candidates – Jameer Nelson, Kevin Garnett, Elton Brand, Gilbert Arenas, Al Jefferson
Winner – Kevin Garnett wins because he has the greatest impact on his team. He is the difference between the Celtics winning another championship or going home early.

Byron Scott Got Canned! But, you know what they say. When a team sucks, the coach is responsible. Players are not held as accountable for a team's woes as coaches are. Thus, coaches are expendable. Coaches are also easier to move, because nobody pays to see coaches coach. People want to see players......
